Baptism Information

The baptism (or Christening) of a new child or adult is a joyful celebration for parents, families and churches.

In baptism the parents and godparents make promises about their own faith in Jesus Christ, and their commitment to bring up their child to know Jesus for themselves.

For those who want to thank God for the birth of their child, but don’t feel able to make the baptism promises, we also offer a service of dedication and thanksgiving where we thank God for the arrival of a new child into the family.

Baptisms and dedications normally take place during our regular Sunday service (on the first Sunday in the month) at 10am where we can welcome your child into the church family.

Before a baptism the we will arrange to visit you and your children in your home. We will explain what will happen at the service, the promises you are going to be making and give you the chance to ask any questions you might have.

In the first instance please contact our vicar Rev'd Stuart (contact details on Who's Who page) who will explain the process and arrange to meet with you, or complete the enquiry form and we'll be in touch.

PLEASE NOTE: During the pandemic there are restrictions about church services so please contact Rev'd Stuart to discuss your plans.
