Priest in Charge

The Revd Stuart Stobart

01422 613668

stuart.stobart@holytrinitystjudes.org.uk

Stuart comes from Bradford and loves living in Yorkshire. After a career in the corporate IT industry working in Sales Management and Technical Support he trained for ordination on the Yorkshire Ministry Course at the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield.

Whilst there he studied for an MA in Theology and Pastoral Studies (Leeds). His experience in ministry spans inner-city, suburban and rural parishes as well as being a deanery youth mission enabler.

As well as being a parish priest he is also a season chaplain with the Intercontinental Church Society spending time in the Swiss Alps working as resort chaplain in the skiing village of Wengen. (If you ever watch Ski Sunday, you may see him in the background, with other spectators, not in the race!)

Stuart is married to Kathryn and they have two grown up sons and a granddaughter. If you were to ask him what he likes he would probably say Bradford City, anything active and watching Marvel films.

Assistant Curate

The Revd Michelle Petch

michelle.petch@holytrinitystjudes.org.uk

Michelle is very much a local Yorkshire lass, having been born and brought up in Brighouse. She gained a BA in Theology and Sociology at university, followed by a postgraduate teacher training course. Her work history is varied, including personal adviser for the Jobcentre, various roles in schools, and more recently as a church children’s worker. She has recently completed a BA in Theology, Ministry and Mission with St Hild College, Mirfield, and subsequently taken up a full time curacy post in the parish of Holy Trinity and St Jude’s. Her particular interests are in nurturing children’s spirituality (she is an accredited Godly Play leader), and in liturgy and worship. She enjoys nothing better than helping adults and children to draw closer to Christ in worship and experience for themselves God’s great love for them. Michelle has been married to Darrin for 25 years, and they have two grown up children, Rebekkah and Asher, and two grandchildren, Reuben and Eden.
