Weddings Information

St Jude's is a wonderfully fitting setting for one of the most important days of your life.

Today more than a quarter of all marriages in England take place in the traditional setting of a Church of England church. You're welcome to marry in church whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised and whether or not you go to church.

You could get married at St. Jude's church if you can answer 'yes' to any of these:

That one of you:

  • live or have lived at any time in the parish for a period of at least 6 months or

  • is on the church's electoral roll or

  • has regularly attended normal church services for a period of at least 6 months or

  • was baptised or prepared for confirmation in the parish

Or that one of your parents:

  • live or have lived at any time in the parish for a period of at least 6 months or

  • has regularly attended normal church services for a period of at least 6 months or

  • was married in the parish

Or that one of your grandparents:

  • was married in the parish

As a first step, contact our vicar Rev'd Stuart (details on the Who's Who page), he'll normally invite you one of our services and arrange to meet up with you afterwards for a chat over a coffee, or fill out your details on the enquiry tab and we'll be in touch.

For more information on getting married in church, see the Your Church Wedding website.

PLEASE NOTE: During the pandemic there are restrictions about guest numbers so please contact Rev'd Stuart to discuss your plans.
